Ruben Mendez

Elder/Pastor

Pastor Ruben has served 11 years at The Camp of Faith Church, with 8 of those years in an elder role. His primary responsibilities include leading the youth in our student ministry and overseeing the deacon ministry.

At the age of 18, Pastor Ruben repented of his sins and acknowledged Jesus as Lord after reading a gospel tract. Since then, he has been an active member of the local church, serving alongside his wife Rachael and their children Teague and Layne.

Mark 1:15 with its message to "Repent and believe the gospel." is one of Pastor Ruben's most cherished verses, and it serves as the guiding principle for all of The Camp of Faith's ministries.

Hank Hisey

Elder/Pastor

Pastor Hank and his wife, Laura, joined the Camp in February 1997.  Over the years, he served in various roles at the Camp including Chairman of the Deacons, Sunday School teacher, small group leader, and along with creating the Media Ministry, became a pastor in December 2003. He is currently serving as Pastor of Core Committees and Officers and the Media Ministry. Hank is dedicated to the truth being taught and the church remaining true to biblical principles. He has a deep Biblical World View and is always ready to engage and apply Biblical truth to life, work, church ministry, and family.

His favorite verse is John 14:6 where Jesus told Thomas, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." Hank grew up in a Christian home where both parents were very dedicated servants.  He cannot remember a day when he hasn’t believed he was a sinner and needed Jesus as his  Lord and Savor and made a public statement of belief at the age of 10 when he was baptized on Christmas Eve.

Hank and Laura's family includes their daughter and son-in-law, Lydia and Jonathan Chambers, and their son John, who has been home with the Lord since 2003. Hank and his wife are always eager to share the story of John’s life and death and the how the Lord revealed Himself.  Just ask them!

Donny Hamilton

Elder/Pastor

Donny Hamilton is the Hawaiian shirt wearing, fun-loving, family life pastor at the Camp. He gets excited when he sees God working in the church and in people’s lives. Donny found the Lord and was saved at 18 years old when he realized he was lost without God and headed for Hell. God got his full attention on a long walk down the interstate after running out of gas. Now Donny just wants to see everyone else know the Savior like he does.

Donny and his wife, Stacy, came to the Camp over 15 years ago.  They were drawn to this church by the Bible-focused preaching as well as by the way they see the Holy Spirit move actively within the congregation. Donny is dedicated to the Gospel and strives to make a positive impact in the families and ministries in the church . In his free time, you can find him with his family, on the water, or eating bacon. Donny is always eager to meet new people and looks forward to seeing you soon at The Camp.
